Solar Cameras With No Power Supply, Bolted Straight to the Wall: A Sourcing Guide for Importers
TL;DR
4G solar cameras bolt to any wall in 5-10 minutes with no cable and no WiFi. Mounting rules, the 49 AOV models with prices, plus MOQ, margins and lead times for importers.
Short answer: yes, and not a single metre of cable
A 4G solar camera runs completely off-grid and needs no WiFi. You bolt it to brick, concrete, a concrete post or a steel pole, slot in a SIM, and that is the installation: no socket, no electrician, no conduit. A unit is three parts — the solar panel (8W or 15W), the built-in battery (8000mAh-20000mAh depending on the series) and a 4G LTE module that pushes video straight to a phone. Real-world install time per camera is 5-10 minutes: drill four holes, tap in the plugs, torque down the bracket, angle the panel at the sun, scan the code in the app. All 150 SKUs in the Shenzhen Leksell catalogue work this way, with wholesale prices quoted per order.
That is why this category sells where wired cameras simply cannot go: pond banks, coffee plots, freshly graded construction sites, yards outside the industrial parks, leased workshops where the landlord will not let anyone chase a wall, or a boundary fence a few hundred metres from the nearest power. For a distributor the sales argument is not price — it is that the customer is finished before lunch without booking a trade.
Wall mounting: four factors that decide whether it runs for years or dies in three weeks
Your customer will blame the product when the battery flattens after three weeks. Nine times out of ten it is the mounting position. Your sales team should know these four points cold and print them on the leaflet in the box.
Sun aspect. In Vietnam and most of Southeast Asia the panel faces south, tilted outward so rain runs off and dust does not settle on it. A panel shaded by a metal roof for a few hours around midday loses most of the day's charge — that is the difference between a camera that runs year-round and one that has to come down to be charged.
Seasonal shade. Canopy that closes over in the wet season, banana plants that grow fast, a site's temporary awning. Survey the position at midday, not first thing in the morning.
Wall material. Solid brick and concrete take standard plastic plugs. Thin hollow brick, infill panels and sheet metal need steel expansion anchors or a backing rail — wind loading on the panel generates real torque, and this is the single most common warranty claim that no factory will accept.
4G signal. Before drilling, stand exactly where the camera will go, with a phone on the same network, and check the signal. The camera needs no WiFi but it still needs mobile coverage; mounting higher and staying off the inner face of thick concrete helps considerably.
Mount above reach from ground level and angle the lens down across the path rather than straight out at open ground. It deters anyone trying to remove the unit and it cuts the number of pointless recordings.
The four AOV series, and how to pick one by the customer's wall
Of the 150 SKUs, 49 are AOV models — Always-On Video, meaning continuous 24/7 recording at low standby power using AI scene analysis, rather than waking only when a PIR sensor fires. This is the best-selling group for B2B buyers because it fixes the exact weakness battery cameras get criticised for: PIR misses a person walking slowly, misses events outside the sensor's cone, and is always a few seconds late at the head of the clip — the seconds with the face and the plate in them.
| Series | Versions | Battery | Panel | Lens | Ingress |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SG-C41G-10T66-V* | 4 | 8000mAh | 8W | 2K (2.0MP) | IP66 |
| SG-D42G-10F66-V* | 18 | 8000mAh | 8W | 2K (2.0MP x2, dual lens) | IP66 |
| SG-D42G-15F66-V* | 16 | 20000mAh | 15W | 2K (2.0MP x2, dual lens) | IP66 |
| SG-S43G-10T66-V* | 11 | 8000mAh | 8W | 2K (2.0MP x3, triple lens) | IP66 |
How to advise across the counter:
- House wall, gate, front yard, full sun — SG-C41G-10T66-V1, single 2K lens. Simple, the cheapest thing in the AOV group, and enough when one direction is all that matters.
- Long boundary fence, warehouse yard, needs the wide view and the close-up at once — SG-D42G-10F66-V1, two 2K lenses in one housing. This is the easiest configuration to sell into farms and workshops.
- High-rainfall regions, several overcast days in a row, or a customer who wants dense recording — the SG-D42G-15F66-V* series, 15W panel and 20000mAh battery, for example SG-D42G-15F66-V1. This is the only series with the 20000mAh/15W configuration; never promise those figures on the other three.
- Wide corners, junctions, open yards that need several directions covered from one set of bolt holes — the triple-lens SG-S43G-10T66-V* series.
Every one of them is 2K, IP66, with microSD storage up to 128GB. Stock standard is 1080p-2K; 4K is built to order for custom and OEM projects only and is never held in inventory. Full specifications for each code are on the product catalogue.
AOV or PIR: choose by what the customer will complain about
| Criterion | Conventional PIR camera | AOV series |
|---|---|---|
| Slow movement (crawling, hugging the wall) | Usually missed | Recorded |
| Events outside the heat sensor's cone | Not recorded | Recorded |
| Head of the clip | Several seconds lost to wake-up | Already there in the continuous stream |
| Evidence after a theft | Fragmentary | Continuous along the timeline |
One commercial note: AOV is an industry-generic term, not a SolaGuard trademark. Do not let your sales team pitch it as proprietary technology — a technical buyer will look it up, and you lose credibility in the first meeting.
Import terms: MOQ, margin, lead time
The factory is Shenzhen Leksell, established 2012, certified by TÜV Rheinland along with CE, FCC and RoHS. That is the document set you need for customs clearance and for project customers who ask for certification.

| Trial MOQ | 10 units |
| OEM/ODM MOQ | 100 units |
| Dealer margin | 20% from around 10 units, 30% from around 50 units |

| Bulk orders | 25-40 days by sea |

The Vietnam office is in Ho Chi Minh City. There is no warehouse in Hanoi or Bangkok, so budget domestic transit honestly when you commit a date to a customer in the north. Volume tier pricing and payment terms are on the wholesale page.
OEM and private label
Every model, including all 49 AOV codes, is available private-label: your logo on the housing, your artwork on the box and manual, your own branded app. MOQ for OEM/ODM is 100 units. The factory also accepts hardware changes — higher resolution, larger battery and panel, higher card capacity, a higher weather rating — but those configurations are not in the stock catalogue, and price and lead time have to be quoted case by case. Do not put custom specs into a sales catalogue as though they ship from stock.
Checklist before you place the first order
- Order the code, not the series. Versions within one series differ in price and configuration. Write the full code, in the form SG-D42G-15F66-V1, on the PO.
- Check the specs against the product page. Every importer re-checks them; the numbers on your quotation have to match the numbers on the site.
- Run 10 units as a trial before you commit to a project. Put them on three wall types and three levels of sun exposure in your own market before signing anything large.
- Sort SIMs and data plans before the shipment lands. This, not the installation, is what usually delays handover.
- Write a one-page install leaflet in the local language. The four factors above, with photographs. It costs close to nothing and it cuts returns sharply.
