TL;DR

A datasheet-level breakdown of the 49-SKU AOV solar camera range — four series, single to triple lens, wholesale prices quoted per order — and why "4-lens" listings rarely mean four sensors.

The direct answer: the AOV range tops out at triple lens, not four

SolaGuard's Always-On Video (AOV) range is 49 SKUs across four series, wholesale prices quoted per order, and the widest optical configuration in it is triple lens. There is no four-lens AOV model in the catalogue, in any battery or panel class. If you are pricing against a listing advertised as a "4-lens AOV solar camera", read its sensor table before you build a quote around it: the fourth element is very often an IR illuminator, a floodlight module or a fixed auxiliary optic rather than a fourth imaging sensor with its own stream. Counting illuminators as lenses is a marketing habit, not a specification.

Here is the complete AOV datasheet at series level. Every figure below is what ships from stock, not a best case:

Series Variants Optics Resolution Battery Solar panel Ingress
SG-C41G-10T66-V* 4 Single lens 2K (2.0MP) 8000mAh 8W IP66
SG-D42G-10F66-V* 18 Dual lens (2.0MP×2) 2K 8000mAh 8W IP66
SG-D42G-15F66-V* 16 Dual lens (2.0MP×2) 2K 20000mAh 15W IP66
SG-S43G-10T66-V* 11 Triple lens (2.0MP×3) 2K 8000mAh 8W IP66

Common to all 49 AOV SKUs: 4G LTE connectivity with no WiFi and no mains power required, microSD storage up to 128GB, IP66 weatherproofing, and 1080p–2K resolution. 4K is available only as a custom or OEM build. Full model-by-model specifications sit on the product catalogue.

How to read the model number — and what not to infer from it

Buyers often try to decode part numbers to fill gaps in a quote. Two segments are reliable: the letter after SG- tracks the optical configuration (C single, D dual, S triple), and the trailing 66 tracks the IP66 rating. Do not infer the power class from the numeric segment. SG-D42G-10F66-V1 and SG-D42G-15F66-V1 differ by far more than the digits suggest — the first is an 8000mAh cell with an 8W panel, the second is 20000mAh with a 15W panel. The 10 prefix group does not mean a 10W panel. When a spec matters for your tender, take it from the SKU sheet, not from the string.

What AOV has to mean on a datasheet before you pay extra for it

AOV — Always-On Video — is an industry-generic term, not a proprietary feature. It describes continuous 24/7 recording at low standby power, held down by AI scene analysis that decides what to encode and store rather than what to wake up for. It is not a brand, and any factory can print it on a box.

The distinction that matters commercially is against PIR-triggered cameras. A PIR sensor fires on a heat differential crossing its detection zone, which means it reliably misses two things buyers care about: slow movement (someone walking a fence line at a shallow angle, livestock drifting through a gate) and anything happening outside the trigger zone but inside the frame. For a farm, a yard or a container park, the gap between "we have footage" and "we have footage of the wrong ninety seconds" is the entire value of the installation.

So when a datasheet claims AOV, ask the factory for three things in writing: whether continuous recording is the default state or a mode the installer has to enable, what the standby current draw is in that state, and how many days of continuous footage fit on the maximum supported card before overwrite begins. A camera that technically supports continuous video but only sustains it for a few hours a day is a PIR camera with a marketing label.

The power budget is the specification

Multi-lens AOV cameras are a power problem before they are an imaging problem. Three sensors encoding simultaneously draw more than one, and a solar camera has no grid behind it to absorb the difference. That is why the range splits the way it does.

The 8000mAh / 8W pairing covers the single-lens series, the 18 lower-cost dual-lens variants and all 11 triple-lens variants. The 20000mAh / 15W pairing exists for the 16 higher-specification dual-lens variants, and is the configuration to specify when the site has short winter days, persistent overcast, heavy tree cover or a north-facing mounting wall in the southern hemisphere. For most Vietnamese and Latin American deployments with clear roof or pole mounting, the 8W class is adequate; for Andean highland sites, monsoon-season installations and anywhere the camera cannot be re-aimed at the sun, quote the 15W class and absorb the price difference rather than handling returns.

The datasheet fields importers actually need to verify

Most solar camera datasheets in this segment are written for retail listings and skip the fields that determine whether a shipment clears customs and survives a season. Before you commit to an order, get these confirmed by the factory in writing:

Field Why it decides the deal What to demand
LTE band support A camera that cannot register on the local carrier is scrap on arrival Written band list checked against your operator, per country
Ingress rating Mixed-rating catalogues cause field failures in rainy season IP66 stated per SKU, with the test standard named
Battery and panel pairing Governs whether continuous recording actually holds Exact mAh and wattage per SKU, not per series
Maximum card capacity Determines retention before overwrite Supported ceiling — here, microSD up to 128GB
Certification scope Customs and tender eligibility Certificate copies naming the manufacturer and model family
Firmware and app ownership Decides whether private label is real or cosmetic Confirmation of what can carry your branding

Manufacturing is by Shenzhen Leksell, established 2012, TÜV Rheinland certified, with CE, FCC and RoHS coverage. Ask for the documents at RFQ stage, not after the PI is signed — a distributor bidding into a school, port or municipal tender will need them attached to the submission.

Order mechanics: MOQ, lead time, margin and private label

OEM and private label are available on every model, including all 49 AOV SKUs — branding, packaging and app identity. The MOQ is 10 units for a trial order and 100 units for OEM/ODM work. Distributor margin runs at 20% from around 10 units and 30% from around 50 units; the dealer programme covers how tiers apply across a mixed order.

Lead times: samples ship in 7–10 days by air, bulk orders run 25–40 days by sea, and stock held for the Vietnamese market delivers in 7–10 business days from the Ho Chi Minh City office. There is no Hanoi or Bangkok warehouse — anyone quoting you one for this brand is quoting something that does not exist.

Installation is 5–10 minutes per camera: mount, insert SIM and card, aim the panel. That number matters to your commercial model more than it looks. A distributor selling 50 units into an agricultural cooperative is not dispatching an installation crew for a week; the buyer's own staff can do it, which is what makes a wholesale solar 4G camera saleable in territories where skilled installation labour is expensive or simply unavailable outside the cities.

The catalogue as a whole runs to 150 SKUs, so the AOV range sits at the upper end by design — continuous recording costs more in cell, panel and silicon than trigger-based recording does. If your tender needs a specification outside the stock range — higher resolution, a larger battery and panel pairing, more storage, or a different housing — the factory builds to spec at the 100-unit OEM MOQ. Quantity, price and lead time for a custom build come from a person, not from a published table; start that conversation through the wholesale enquiry page or at info@solaguard.net with your target territory, carrier and annual volume.
